Machine Operator
Job Description
Established over 25 years ago, the Company is a successful manufacturer of high quality polyethylene products to the Agriculture and Mining industries, with headquarters in Dalwallinu, and multiple regional offices across WA. It has experienced exponential success since inception, with both organic and acquisitive growth, and is now embarking on an exciting new phase in the company’s history. As such, it is looking for a number of highly motivated Rotational Moulding Machine Operators to work at its main manufacturing base.
Scope of Duties
Your role will involve setting up, maintaining and operating rotational moulding machines.
Responsibilities include:
• Ensure the proper operation of moulds by checking clamps, breathers, pins and flange lines during each rotation, and cleaning after every rotation
• Weigh polyethylene powder into hoppers and then transfer into the appropriate moulds
• Remove completed product from moulds ensuring product quality in the process
• Test the products as required
• Keep detailed records of daily machine production
• Change or assist in the change of moulds as required
• Clean the area around the machine at the end of every shift
• Attend various meetings and communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
Required Skills / Experience / Qualifications
• Ability to maintain a consistent output in a high heat and fast paced work environment
• Ability to understand and follow procedures
• Problem solving skills
• Physically fit, and able to regularly lift items up to 25kg
• Knowledge of lean principles would be advantageous
There is no need for direct experience, rather the right aptitudes, and full training will be given. This is a permanent position in a friendly and flexible workplace with a competitive salary package.
The role will be based in Dalwallinu, approximately 2.5 hours’ drive from Perth. Successful candidate’s will have the option of relocating, for which assistance will be provided, or Drive-in / Drive-out (Monday to Friday), for which accommodation assistance will be provided.
